Photo Contest

DATA needs your help in finding a picture or pictures that best highlights snowmobiling in Douglas County. We would like to utilize it as the main picture on next year's Home Page to highlight our website.

The contest to find this picture will begin with the start of this years snowmobiling season, December 1st, and end at the close of the season on March 31st. Winner will receive Dinner for 2 or $30 Gas Certificate compliments of one of our map advertisers.  If you have any last minute pictures to submit please do so soon, as the winner will be selected at this month's DATA board meeting the 2nd Monday in April.

Rules (both contests)

  1. All submitted pictures must be of the actual DATA Trail or a scenic view taken from the Data Trail.
  2. Snowmobile pictures must depict safe snowmobile operation as well as operation on the trail.
  3. Information as to the specific location must accompany the pictures.
  4. Winning photo(s) will be picked by the DATA Board of Directors and become the property of DATA and may be used for promotion.
  5. DATA employees and board members are ineligible for prizes.
  6. Other acceptable photos will be featured on the DATA Home Page and serve as the basis for next year's Name the Trail Contest.

Name the Trail Contest

Each photo was taken on a specific DATA trail. See the map for the trail names. Using the form provided, identify its location by trail name. Winning entry will be drawn from all correct entries by the DATA Board of Directors at the January Directors meeting. Winner will receive Dinner for 2 or $30 Gas Certificate compliments of one of our map advertisers. All entries for the first Name the Trail contest must be received by January 2nd, 2008.

There were no correct entries in our first Name the Trail Contest.  To see if anyone was close we are going to give the trail location with each picture shown below.  Se if you can recognize the location on one of your future rides. Next years pictures will hopefully be easier, especially with additional riding time this season.
